Psalms 66:16 Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.

Psalms 66:16 Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.
Yes come and hear, but all too many come and hear who do not fear God.  They only think of God as a loving God, a God of comfort and not one that requires anything from them. They have reduced God to a small buddy-like God and not the God who created the universe and destroyed 180,000 Assyrians in a night.
But I will declare that He is a righteous, Holy, unchangeable, all powerful God who created the heavens and the earth but still loved His children so that their souls, my soul would not be destined for Hell but was redeemed by God so that I might live with him forever, despite my depraved, miserable life of sin.  And He asks me to reflect the love and forgiveness He has shown me in the way I acknowledge Him; Recognizing all His power and Glory and in the way I treat and serve others.
Yes, He can be a loving God but He can be and is a vengeful God against all unrighteousness, sin and evil.  He uplifts the righteous (made so by Christ) but condemns those who do evil and the wicked will abide in Hell.
Yes, I declare what He has done for my soul, in contemplation and reflection of His awesomeness and my weakness and incompetence.  His holiness and my sinfulness.  His loving me and saving me and my inability to save myself.  I am humbled by the very thought of Him.
