THE TRUTH IS — TRADITIONS, then Customs, then Habits. and the K.J.T. teaches that BOTH are “right” and both are “wrong.”
So how do we determine which is which? Carefully study for “context.”When reading many texts we find the Jews were obstinate in the O.T. Laws, even though they did not keep them constantly or continuously, yet they contended for them. Have you ever heard “Don’t do as I do, but do as I say?” Then Paul taught us to forsake these O.T. traditions, then faithfully (only) stand fast and hold fast the TRADITIONS which ye Gentiles have been taught, whether by word or our epistle, either preached or written, 2nd Thess. 2:15.
So, which is which? Matt. 15:1,3; Acts 16:1,5; 21:18,26; 1st Cor. 9:19,23 are more examples, teaching which is which. Then also Gal. 1:14; 2:1-3; 2nd Thess. 3:6, 14-15; Titus 1:14; 1st Peter 1:18; 2nd Peter 1:16; Jude 3; Rev. 2:6, 15. Now these are all easily understood, either in the negative or the positive.
